Word 203 covers the
following:
- Styles
- Using Word's Built-In Styles
- Creating Your Own Custom Styles
- AutoFormat
- AutoCorrect
We begin by learning all about Word's built-in
Styles - what Styles are, how Styles work, the different types of
Styles, and why you want to use Styles in your documents. For example,
if you use Heading styles properly in your book, you can quickly and
easily change all of the headings throughout your document simply
by changing the Style's setting.

Next you will learn how to create your own
Custom Styles. These can be used for modifying existing Word Styles,
or creating own complete Style libraries.

Again, notice how I've changed my entire
document just by modifying the Style once. No format painting or
copying and pasting. Further editing is just that simple. Change the
entire look and feel of your document with just a couple of clicks
or keystrokes.

You'll also learn how to create your own
Character Styles to modify the look and feel of just a specific word
or group of words that gets repeated throughout your document. Again,
the main benefit is you can easily change the style later and your whole
document updates itself.

We will then study AutoFormat and
AutoFormat As You Type. Both are used to change the format of your
text - either as you enter it, or manually at your command.

Next we'll learn about AutoCorrect which is
generally used to fix certain mistakes that happen when you're typing -
and not necessarily just spelling errors. For example, ever type in the
word "The" but you accidentally left the CAPS key down too long and it
came out "THe"? Well that's just one example of something AutoCorrect
will fix. I'll show you how to configure it for much more.

Don't miss this class. The section on
Styles alone is well worth the price of the course. Mastering Styles
will make production of large documents with a uniform, professional
look and feel so much easier!
