Intro In lesson 103, you will learn how to use slide masters, title masters, notes masters, and handout masters in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. We will work with charts, graphs, diagrams, flow charts, and organization charts. This lesson builds on topics covered in PowerPoint 102 and is suitable for versions 97 through 2003.
Transcript Welcome to PowerPoint 103 brought to you by PowerPointLearningZone.com. I am your instructor Richard Rost.

In today's class we are going to learn about slide masters, title masters, notes masters, and handouts masters. We are going to learn about charts and graphs. We are also going to learn about diagrams and flow charts, including organization charts.

This class follows PowerPoint 102. I strongly recommend you take PowerPoint 102 before beginning this class.

I will be using Microsoft PowerPoint version 2003. This course is valid for just about every version of PowerPoint from 97 to 03. Obviously, the older your version of PowerPoint, the more different it will be. If you have PowerPoint 2007, you will notice some cosmetic differences in the interface.

As always, I recommend you sit back, relax, and watch each lesson completely through once. Then replay the lesson, following along with the examples. If you have any questions about the material covered in today's class, please feel free to post them in our student forums.

If you are watching this course on our website or with the Amicron video player while you are connected to the internet, you should see the student forums appear to the right of the video window. If not, visit our website and you should see a link to the student forums on the homepage.

Summary Today's video from PowerPoint Learning Zone focuses on some important features in Microsoft PowerPoint. In this lesson, I will discuss slide masters, title masters, notes masters, and handouts masters, and how they help you standardize the look and feel of your presentations. You will also learn about working with charts and graphs, which are essential for presenting data in a clear and effective way. Additionally, I will cover how to create diagrams and flow charts, including organizational charts, to help you visually represent information and processes.

This lesson builds on the concepts introduced in PowerPoint 102, so I highly recommend reviewing that course first to ensure you have the foundational knowledge needed to get the most from today's material.

For this class, I am using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, but the information provided will be useful for just about every version from PowerPoint 97 through 2003. If you are working with PowerPoint 2007 or newer, you will notice some differences in how things appear, but most concepts remain the same.

My advice is to first watch each lesson all the way through to get a general understanding. Afterwards, replay the lesson and try following along with your own copy of PowerPoint. If you have questions while you are learning, please visit our student forums to ask for help or join in the discussion with other students.

If you are using our website or the Amicron video player and are connected to the internet, you should find the student forums next to the video window. If you do not see them there, you can always visit our website where you will find a link to the forums right on the homepage.

You can find a complete video tutorial with step-by-step instructions on everything discussed here on my website at the link below. Live long and prosper, my friends.
Topic List This is an introductory or overview message for a PowerPoint video tutorial, not a full tutorial transcript. It provides a brief description of what will be covered in the class: slide masters, different types of masters, charts, graphs, and diagrams.
