Just a quick status update from the bridge. This past weekend, I did something highly unusual for someone who is self-employed. I actually took a couple of days off. The wife and I went up to Orlando for a little getaway. Normally, if I am home, I am working. That is just how it goes. But every now and then, even the captain needs shore leave.
And next week, I will be out of the office again, heading to Seattle for the Microsoft MVP Summit and Access Day. Really looking forward to connecting with other Access developers and seeing what is new in the world of Microsoft. That means my time between now and then is limited, so my priority is getting enough TechHelp videos recorded to keep you all busy while I am away.
I have got Access Developer 50 in the works (hard to believe I'm on #50), along with a bunch of other projects still on my plate. If you have any video requests, let me know, and I will add them to the list. No promises, as the list is very long, but I'm always on the lookout for cool new ideas for videos (especially if I don't show up in the Google/YouTube keyword search for the keywords!)
And for today's random fact. The first computer virus, called Creeper, was created in 1971. It displayed the message "I'M THE CREEPER. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!" and spread between computers on ARPANET, the early version of the internet. It did not cause any harm, but it led to the first antivirus program, Reaper, which was designed to remove it. So the battle between viruses and security software has been going on for over 50 years.
That is it for now. Keep those requests coming, and I will get back to work.
