Maybe I missed something but in when you used filters to change the records shown, you said that it saved the label name. But when you used recordsets, it didn't. But the rest of the code was exactly the same so what caused the label to save with the filtered version and not with the recordset version. Or did I miss something?

Basically, FILTERS are not reliable. They don't always keep their settings. Recordsets are always reliable.
