I always tell my wife I have to make it to at least 90 years old, because Halley's Comet will be back in July 2061. I'll be 88 when it makes its closest pass, so 90 is a nice round target. I saw it the last time it came by in 1986 when I was 13 years old. I'd always been into space and astronomy, but I wasn't that blown away - just a small hazy smudge off in the distance through our binoculars. We didn't have a telescope back then. Astronomers say the 2061 pass will be much closer to Earth, so it should be a far better show. As long as my one good eyeball hangs in there, I've got something pretty spectacular to look forward to.
I also hope to have my brain cryogenically frozen. So hopefully in the 24th century, Dr. Crusher can revive me and put my brain into a new cloned body.
