Do you cover how to open an external file for a related record (e.g. by EmployeeID)? So I am guessing a hyperlink that will open a file (from a folder with files for all Employees) but open the file related to that employee only. Thank you.

That depends on many factors. What kind of file are we talking about? If you're talking about something like a PDF file, then you would have to construct the hyperlink to that file based on the employee ID or some other field.
