Supposedly, on the night of December 31, 1899, the SS Warrimoo, a passenger steamer traveling from Vancouver to Australia, was reportedly positioned with extraordinary precision at the intersection of the Equator (0° latitude) and the International Date Line (180° longitude).
At that exact moment:
1) The bow of the ship was in the Southern Hemisphere, in the year 1900.
2) The stern was in the Northern Hemisphere, still in 1899.
3) One half was in the Eastern Hemisphere, the other in the Western.
4) It was simultaneously in two different days, months, years, seasons, centuries, and hemisphere
