Yes, I've often found that having a Microsoft Web Server offers much more in terms of options than other types of servers do (Linux, et al.) Sure, Linux boxes run much faster than a Windows Server of the same hardware spec, so you can handle more users on them... but try running ASP or SQL Server. Good luck. And again, there are other languages out there, and other Database servers (PHP, MySQL for example), but ASP is based on Visual Basic which has been around for years... and is SOLID. I'm sorry to say, but even though they're the most expensive option, Microsoft does make GOOD products.
