I just turned video auto-play on across the site. A couple of people emailed me recently to say it's annoying to click Next Lesson and then have to click again to start the video. That makes sense to me - if you're clicking on a video page, chances are you want to watch the video.
I don't really notice things like this myself because I don't watch my own videos very often. But when I'm on a site like YouTube and click a video, I expect it to start playing.
Let me know what you think. If enough people find auto-play annoying, I'll add a setting so you can choose whether videos start automatically. That will take a little extra work, so I won't build it unless there is enough interest.

I'm good either way! But if you are looking for suggestions, I would like to see a button at the end of comments that returns the user to the top of the page(s). Or maybe locking the "top" of the page. For instance, when reading a Captain's Log, everything above and including the "Back to Captain's Log" line stays in place. Which ever option is easiest, would be fine. Just so I can get to the "Back to Captain's Log" line without having to scroll up from the bottom to the top. Of course if there is already a way and I'm missing it, let me know!" LOL!!!

The automatic initiation of visual media streams is a highly logical protocol. It eliminates unnecessary manual input and optimizes sequence continuity. Peace an long life

If you don't mind moving your hand from mouse to keyboard, as long as you're not in an input field, you get press Ctrl-Home to get back to top of page quick
It's only annoying if you load multiple video's from your web an click on each one, If you load multiple video's from YouTube or database its not a problem?, I load multiple video's all the time lol
Works well Richard

I wonder if it’s possible to allow users to build a playlist of videos to watch on your site instead of having to manually search for each one. Just a minor convenience tool and the only reason I haven’t fully switched over from YouTube yet.

Alex I love that idea. You can actually download the videos, and most media players allows you to create custom playlists.

The database I'm working on groups them by category, a playlist would be good I think Richard has mentioned this in one of his video's.
