Been thinking of taking that same trip. I got to spend 2 years outside of Fairbanks courtesy Uncle Sam in the 70s. I took a two week vacation and drove through Denali (180 miles of dirt road) to Anchorage. Don't think you can drive through Denali anymore. Great trip, great fishing and very few but friendly people.
