Although I haven't tested this on my ambualance database yet (not ready for prime time yet ), I was wondering if potential customers' anti-virus software would prohibit writing to their registries? Seems to me that this could be a potential problem...

There could be restrictions imposed by some programs, you could ask for an exception to be put on
