Neil, my VISUAL BASIC classes are for the stand-alone VB 6.0 program which is for designing your OWN software. VBA is different. That's for automating Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Access.
Now, if you do take the time to learn VB, it will certainly help you when it comes time to use VBA. VBA is a superset of VB, so most of the techniques you learn in VB will apply to VBA.
I will be covering VBA for Excel 2007 very soon.
