Response to what I want with EXCEL.
Richard B. Jordan

Things followed daily:
1) Date Dow S & P Nasdaq DJ-AIG CRB Oil Gold VIX 2 Year 10 Year CURVEINVERSION 10 Year TIPS 30 Year TIPS P/C Ratio  10 Year - 10 Year Tips BIDY LIBOR Dollar Index NYSE Composite Volume NYSE Volume Heavy or Normal NASDAQ Composite Volume NASDAQ Volume Heavy or Normal Total Volume Quality Total NYSE and NASDAQ Volumne Amount. What can be done in "massaging" these items?  2)How to calculate performance of a portfolio vs. a standard metric like the Dow Industrials; How to use IRR, calculate it and derive meaning; Same for Std Deviation. Charting as I know it I can handle, but there are chart techniques I am unaware of; what are they? How do the pros utilize EXCEL? My biggist problem is not knowing what others do with the program, i.e. what can be done.  How do I cause data to be automatically input  into the cells such as I listed above? What formulas have others thought up for analyzing stock and overall market performance?Perhaps the other three Market students might have some ideas. I very much apprecuiate your offer and wish I could be more explicit but I simply don't know what's available, and how best to use it.  Thanks again, 'Buck' Jordan.
