We all have a thirst for wonder. It's a deeply human quality... There's wonder and awe enough in the real world. Nature's a lot better at inventing wonders than we are.
Richard, I have read the comments and the sentiment is the same across the board, and I agree! You do not have to provide an explanation of your business practices; however, I feel your pain! I am in an industry that at times I feel the same way, people want something as cheap as possible for the best quality. I remind myself of this Good, Quick, Cheap statement, and I am sure everyone who reads this knows you can have any two but not all three! Your Star Trek References make me smile each time, appreciate your knowledge and the Forum Moderators who aid in the Q & A. I keep struggling; however, I know the only way to get better is to push though and learn, try the new idea, repeat.
Thanks, Jon. One of the benefits of selling my lessons online is that I can reach the whole world. That way I can lower my prices to reach a wider audience. I'd rather sell one course to 1000 people for $1 each than have to charge 1 person $1000. But still, the problem exists that the higher up you go in difficulty, the fewer students there are. Lots of people want to learn the basics, but only a handful of people care enough to go up to the Developer level. So unfortunately, I have to charge more for those lessons to make them worth the time and investment to develop. I try to keep my courses priced as low as possible, but still be able to feed my puppies. :)
