It seems it's the like button that takes a while as that's getting info from FB for the number of likes.
A Facebook logo on the header to the page with all the content is only one click deep so shouldn't be a problem. The image shouldn't take any longer to load than the other images on your site.
You could have a social page then with everything on, twitter feed ...
