I have an *immediate* need for this seminar. Here is what I need to know:
1. How do I structure a SQL Db? 2. How do I connect Access to it? 3. How can multiple users point to the SQL Db and use it? 4. How can I provide different levels of access for users (some with view only some with all access)? 5. How can I prevent corrupting the Db and restoring it if it does corrupt? 6. How do I take existing Excel sheets, get them into an SQL Db, and then create Access applications for multiple users to consume and use the data?
I have an office full of people who are slogging through an aging FileMaker Db that points to an aging FileMaker Server. All of the information needs to be moved to SQL with an Access 2010 front end. Your seminar would really, really, really help.
Hope my questions aren't too noobish...
Thanks, Access Noob
Reply from Richard Rost:
Noob, the seminar I am preparing right now is for the SQL Language... not the SQL SERVER program... although that is also on my "to do" list.
