Our academic system rewards people who know a lot of stuff... but at the end of the day who do you want: the person who can figure things out that they've never seen before or the person who can rattle off a bunch of facts?
You know, working in life insurance does put things into perspective. While i'm sure you have another 50 years, have you made any plans for the site to continue after you?

When I retire, I'm uploading my entire library to YouTube and people can enjoy my life's work for free. Consider it my gift to the world. LOL. As far as the site goes, no idea... and if I die before I retire, well... I really won't care, will I? :)
If a website's owner passes, the site will continue running until its annual fees (registry, hosting, etc.) can't be paid, likely due to its payment method becoming invalid. Regarding YouTube channels, if there aren't any associated fees to be paid, the videos will remain on YouTube forever.
