I know how you feel! I once went 9 days without electricity during an ice storm (not to mention I fell on it and broke my leg)! Glad everyone is okay and back to normal.
I remember ice storms from when I used to live in Buffalo. In fact, back on October 13, 2006 we had this storm called the October Surprise. We never usually got hit with tons of snow that early in the season, so all the leaves were still on the trees. Wet, heavy snow fell taking down trees all over the city. We were without power for 10 days. Back then, not a lot of people had generators. Fortunately, I was one of the only people back then to have one (from my Y2K prepping a few years earlier). I had extension cords running next door and across the street to my neighbors to keep their sump pumps running because all that snow melted in less than 2 days and basements were flooding. It got up to like 70 degrees the following day. It was crazy.
