Yes, we're just fine, thanks. 5 days with no power was rough, but we made it OK.
It's not the wind and rain, it's the storm surge. People on the coast don't realize that a near-Cat-5 hurricane is going to push 10 to 15 feet of water right into their homes. I would never have my home on the coast like that.
We just had minor damage to our house - some ripped screens on the lanai, one broken window (impact glass) and our fence is gone, but aside from that, everything is fine.
