New Mic

Your new mic does sound better than the old stand mic and is clearer in the higher frequencies than your headset mic. However your new mic is putting out (or picking up) a low end frequency hum. I will upload an image of a spectrum analyzer screenshot. You'll see a band at the bottom that I've circled. This is what your mic is picking up. The pic shows the section when you were going through the different mics which is why you will see it going in and out. Since most headsets, phones, and computer speakers won't go that low (under 100 Hz), most might not hear it. But if someone has good quality headphones or a good system they are listening from, it is audible. This could be caused by vibration, like from fans. This can usually be eliminated (or at least lessened) with a shock mount or isolation from your desk. But since it's from 20-60 Hz, it might be a power hum.

So there are a couple of things to take a look at.

I did run the audio through some editing software that can take out the room noise, low hum, and room reverb. I'll send you a clip of what I did in an email so you can hear it.

I've done audio as part of my career for over 20 years. I'm more than willing to help troubleshoot or wherever I can. :)

Thanks, Michael. I appreciate that. How do the latest videos sound?

Your latest videos do sound good. As I mentioned in my email to you, there is still that low end sound, although it's less than before and most people won't hear it. I don't hear it when listening from my phone speakers, but I do on my computer because I've got a big system hooked up to it. Fortunately I can cut the low end in my system and it's not an issue.
