Hi Scott, You could use an after update event on the text box and just use the check for null or 0 to change the background colour: TEXTBOXNAME.BackColor = vbRed
What do you mean hyperlink to the control? You can use a GoToControl command: DoCmd.GoToControl "TEXTBOXNAME"
