Chess

It's been a while since I've posted any new games. I've been working on an RPG type game off and on for the last couple years but somebody told me you couldn't make chess in Access, so challenge accepted :).

Still a work in progress, pieces haven't been programmed yet to only be able to do what they're capable of, so you could win on turn 1, you can also take your own pieces currently. Eventually when I get further along I might add some twists into the game like obstacles or rewards/penalties for taking certain pieces or actions. See what sounds fun at the time :). If you want to see/play you can find the current version here

P.S. I'm an amateur at Chess, if I understood better you could probably make this a little simpler by using notation instead.

P.P.S. Some of my code might be spaghetti, I've already thought of a few ways to change things but I don't want to retype things that many times LOL. If it aint broke don't fix it right.

That's great Adam. I suggest highlighting the selected piece so the user knows which piece is being moved. Changing the border color for example.

I love chess and I know how to play but I am crap. I almost always lose. LOL

Updated the file, noticed I missed H4's coding, also put in highlights for which piece is being moved. Next thing on the list is to make a function to do everything so I don't have to update code in 64 spots everytime LOL. I probably should've started with that.

You should stick it on GitHub, can then add releases
