OK, I've been able to isolate the problem. There seems to be an incompatibility between the auto-logon code and the loop that displays comments. If you're NOT logged on, the page loads fine. If you're ALREADY logged on and have visited a previous page, it loads fine. It's only if you visit the site and that first page tries logging you on AND displaying a blog/news page that the problem occurs. Working on it now...
