There are no limits when you are surrounded by people who believe in you, or by people whose expectations are not set by the short-sighted attitudes of society, or by people who help to open doors of opportunity, not close them.
This is a good article on why two-factor authentication is dumb.
"Thinking is good. If you think well, then you can solve problems. If you don't think, then you cause problems. The worst problems are the result of people believing they are thinking well when, in fact, they are not."
Why do I have to get a text message from you ALMOST EVERY TIME I LOG IN, Paypal? Why? WHY!? I use the same computer with the same IP address EVERY. DAY. Multiple times a day. I've already marked the browser safe. Why do you torture me so?
If someone steals my phone and guesses my PIN, they can get the text message too!

PayPal doesn't send a text every time I sign in unless I clear my cookies.
OK, I should probably clarify... I don't get one EVERY time... but almost definitely every OTHER time. Some mornings when I log on, I don't get pestered. But I guarantee you if I log on a 2nd time later that day, I have to get the text message. It's super annoying.

I get a lot from PayPal and my brokerage. But here's the funny part.
I got home from my jog last Friday to find my bank had processed 11 payments at 7AM, all within seconds.
When the bank opened I went and had to deal with 7 different people to report the fraudulent charges.
It was for quite a bit of $, way beyond my $2,000 limit for the day.
I asked, how could their fraud system allow 10 transactions for the same amount, same vendor within seconds.
Response: Dumb look.
They did their searching and said, we sent you an SMS text message about this new payment a few days before.
I said, "You mean this one that looks odd and that you tell me I should never open if it appears suspicious, as in I have no idea who this vendor is or what this electronic wallet thing your text is talking about?
And why would you even consider paying it without using that confirmation app (2FA) you have that I have to use for every other online payment I make?
Response: Dumb look.
It took them about six days to return my $.
I won't even go into what happened after, when trying to figure out how to avoid this problem in the future.
Yeah... I feel like financial institutions are always 5 to 10 years behind the IT industry and by the time they actually get around to implementing changes, they're already obsolete.
