Looks like Wasabi, the company that hosts our videos and file downloads, is having some problems today. I've been with them for many years now. I've been very happy with their service. They provide better than 99.9% uptime. So problems like this are rare, but they do happen. According to their status page, they're aware of the problem and they're working on it.
In the meantime, I switched us over to the backup server, which appears to be online. However, it hasn't been updated in a week or two. So any of the older videos, and of course, all of the full courses are online, but some of the newer videos in the past week or two are not. I have to figure out why it's not replicating properly, but I'll have to wait until the main server is back online to do that.
If the video that you are trying to watch is not available at the moment, I apologize. While you are waiting please watch this very important public service announcement.

Normally (to me) Wasabi is served with Sushi.... not serving/hosting videos!
I do love me some sushi. I also forgot to mention for everybody, if you are trying to watch one of the newer Tech Help videos and it's not playing on the website, go to my YouTube channel and search for the same video, and it should work fine there.
OK, so after today's outage, I spent a little time and programmed in an automatic switchover. So, in case the primary video server goes down again in the future, after a few minutes, it will automatically switch over to the backup server. This is something I had to manually do in the past, which, if it's during the day and I catch it, great, because I got a server alert that goes off. But if it's 3 in the morning and I'm asleep, well, then I won't find out about it until at least 9:00 AM.
For those of you who are curious, I do have what's called a replication bucket setup, so that my primary video server is on Wasabi's East Coast Server. And the replication bucket is over on the West Coast. So, in case something happens like today, where one of their server centers goes down, my files are still on the other one. But there's no way to switch over automatically between the two with them. So I just wrote my own code, which basically just forwards all the traffic to the other server in a nutshell.
But for some reason, the replication server isn't getting replicated as often as it's supposed to. It's supposed to happen every night. And from what I saw today, the most recent files up there were from a week ago. So I got to look into that next.
