Our handbooks were designed to work with Adobe
Acrobat version 6. This is the version that is bundled on our CD-ROM,
and this is the version that is available on our we site.
Our handbooks will work just fine with other versions
of the Acrobat reader. If you have a version older than version 6,
we do recommend you upgrade to at least version 6. If you have a version
of Acrobat newer than version 6, you can use your current version
just fine.
Some of our handbook installation software will try
to find the Acrobat version 6 installation files on your 599CD disc if
it's not already installed on your computer. If it does not find them, it
will generate an error message. You will see this error message even if
you have a newer version of Acrobat on your PC (such as version 7) in
which case you do NOT need the version that our program is trying to
install.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLICK ON
"DO NOT INSTALL" AND THIS WILL BYPASS THE ACROBAT INSTALLATION.
If you do not need the Acrobat 6 that is on our CD,
then you can just bypass the Acrobat installation process, and your
handbook will open just fine.
DOWNLOAD USERS: If you do not have Acrobat 6
or higher on your computer, you will need to download Adobe Acrobat either
from our web site, or from Adobe directly. See the links on our
download page under "supplemental downloads"
for details.
CD-ROM USERS: If you have a version of
Acrobat on your computer NEWER that version 6, just click on "DO NOT
INSTALL" when asked if you want to install Acrobat 6. This will bypass the
installation and the handbook will work OK with the version of Acrobat you
have.
