Free Courses for TechHelp Members

As a TechHelp member, you get ONE free course per month based on your membership level.

  • Silver Members get one free Beginner course per month, in order (B1, B2, B3, etc.)
  • Gold Members get one free Beginner or Expert course per month, in order.
  • Platinum Members get ALL of the Beginner courses free, plus Expert levels 1 and 2. Then they can request one Expert, Advanced, or Developer course per month, in order.

You can request your free monthly class here: Free Monthly Class. See that page for additional instructions.

Yes, these are my FULL courses as found on the Access Course List. Each one is at least an HOUR long. Members get Beginner Levels 1 and 2 for free, so your first FREE course would be Beginner Level 3.

Courses must be taken IN ORDER. You may not skip around. This means you have to finish the Beginner series before you get to Expert, and then finish the Expert series before you can move on to the Advanced courses, then finally the Developer courses.

If you want additional lessons, you can purchase them with your membership discount (set per level).

This is very similar to enrollment in my Learning Connection program where members get one new course per week at a 50% discount. If you wish to enroll in that as well, you'll get the perks of both memberships (a FREE class once a month, and then another class every week at a 50% discount, PLUS all of the Extended Cut videos.)

If you cancel your membership, you will have to start over from the Beginner courses again as far as getting your free monthly lessons goes. I do this because a lot of people sign up for a month, cancel, come back 3 months later to get one free class, cancel again, etc. This is to entice you to keep your membership. If you have a hardship (loss of job, medical, etc.) then just contact me and let me know. I'll be happy to pause your membership for you if that's the case, as long as you don't abuse it.

Regular Courses Not Included

Some people have emailed me saying that they were under the impression that they get access to all of my regular courses when they become a member. This is not necessarily the case. Your Silver, Gold, or Platinum membership does NOT entitle you to all of my regular courses, seminars, or templates. You do get ONE free class each month, IN ORDER, depending on your membership level. See the Perks page and the Free Courses for Members page for details.

In fact, one thing I'd like to emphasize before you sign up is that the TechHelp videos are NOT the best way to LEARN Access (or any other program) if you're new to it. TechHelp is basically a Q&A series. I answer whatever questions come in from my students in whatever random order I happen to choose. It's not a format that is condusive to learning if you're NEW to Access. If you are somewhat experienced with Access and want to learn new tips and tricks, then this is a great "almost-daily" video blog to teach you some new stuff. If you're a Beginner, you should stick to my Beginner lessons, then move up to the Expert lessons and perhaps then start watching the TechHelp videos. I recommend my Learning Connection membership for new users to Access.

Technical Support Not Provided

Signing up for a Membership of any kind gives you access to specific perks as listed. If you have questions about the material covered in a specific course, feel free to post them in the Student Forum for that course. If you have other non-related questions you would like to submit to be considered for a TechHelp video, you will be given priority consideration over non-members, however an answer is NOT in any way guaranteed. Even in the event your question is accepted, the waiting list is generally several weeks long. I will answer your question IF I think it makes for a good video. Otherwise, I will do my best to point you to another video (free or paid) that may answer your question.

Membership does NOT include free technical support for your database problems. I do my best to answer questions for my students as I have time, however it is NEVER guaranteed. As of June 2021, I no longer provide Technical Support. If you are looking for someone to help you with your database, whether it needs troubleshooting or you want someone to add something to it for you, feel free to post your request in my Access Developer Network. I've got a group of very knowledgeable Developer students who love helping people.

TechHelp is for generic questions that I can make videos to answer for lots of people to enjoy. "How do I...?" type questions. It's not to get support for your database issues. Sorry. There are only so many hours in the day, and I can't help everyone myself.
