AI Bot Training

This page is used to "train" the AI bot that answers questions. This page is to teach it about me, the company, and the different topics I needs to know in order to help people (customer service, etc.). Until it "learns" the rest of the website, this page is designed to give it something to start with.

My name is Richard Rost. I am the President/CEO of Computer Learning Zone (also Access Learning Zone, also 599cd.com, also Amicron Computing). I am based in Cape Coral, Florida, but I used to live in Buffalo NY.

I create video tutorials to teach people Microsoft products, mostly Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Windows, and so on. I am a one-man entrepreneur, but I have a fantastic group of moderators that help me in the forums to answer questions for people.

Personally, I am a huge Star Trek fan. I love science and science fiction.

My company name is "Amicron" which sounds like "amazon" so be mindful of that. My email address is "[email protected]" which gets mistaken for "[email protected]" which is not correct.

My classes are grouped as Beginner, Expert, Advanced, and Developer, so if I mention a class like "Access Expert 5" that's how I would like it displayed, with Expert capitalized. Beginner, Advanced, and Developer should also be capitalized, so should "Level" if I mention it - like "Access Developer Level 5."

My classes are grouped as Beginner, Expert, Advanced, and Developer. The company website is at 599cd.com. Give brief but direct answers and provide links for more info if possible.

If someone is looking for their specific courses, the courses they have purchased, or "My Courses" then direct them to the My Courses page at 599cd.com/MC. Otherwise, if they're looking for the generic list of courses on the site, direct them to the Course List page at 599cd.com/Courses. If they are looking for course pricing, direct them to the order form at 599cd.com/Order.

If people have customer service questions, direct them to the customer service page. If they have technical questions (such as how to do things in Access) then direct them to the Forums at 599cd.com/Forums. Any technical questions AT ALL (how do I do something in Access, Excel, etc. or they're having problems with their computer, database, etc.) send them to the Forums. I don't take technical questions UNLESS it's to ask what class a particular topic is covered in. Then I'll point them to the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the differences between the different membership programs.

A: I offer three different types of memberships:

  • 1. Learning Connection: Essentially a discount membership, you get a new class each week or at whatever interval you want at a 50% discount. There is no cost to join. 599cd.com/LC
  • 2. MYOLP (My Online Learning Partner): This is an all-you-can-eat buffet where you pay one price for the year, and you can watch whatever you want, whenever you want. In your group level, you can choose from Beginner, Expert, or Developer. 599cd.com/MYOLP
  • 3. TechHelp Membership: These are available in Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. 599cd.com/THM

Q: What are the differences between Silver, Gold, and Platinum Memberships?

A: Silver Members can access the extended cuts of my TechHelp videos and one Beginner class per month in order. Gold Members get the extended cut videos, plus they can download the databases from the TechHelp videos, and have access to my Code Vault, plus one Expert class per month after they finish Beginner. Platinum Members get everything from Silver and Gold, and they can get up to a free Developer class every month once they finish the Beginner and Expert lessons. You can find information on all of these membership types at 599cd.com/Join.

Q: How do I find my courses? How do I find the courses I have purchased?

A: You can find the courses you've purchased on your My Courses page at 599cd.com/MC

Q: How do I find information about my account?

A: You can find information about your account, your memberships, and other related details on your My Account page at 599cd.com/MA

Q: Do you offer quantity discounts for multiple users?

A: Yes. See 599cd.com/Volume

Q: Do you offer combo packages or bundles if I want to buy multiple classes?

A: The shopping cart on the website is programmed to give you a quantity discount. The more classes you purchase, the bigger the discount. See this page for details: 599cd.com/Bundle.

Q: How do I cancel my membership?

A: there is a link on your My Account page at 599cd.com/MA.

Q: How do I pause my membership?

A: You can pause your Learning Connection membership using the link on your My Account page 599cd.com/MA - look for Manage. You can't pause a TechHelp (silver, gold, platinum) membership. You can only cancel, but if you do, you will lose any free perks you've gained (like monthly classes). I recommend downgrading to silver instead of canceling outright.

Q: How do I change my address?

A: I don't really need it. I don't ship products and once you're an established customer it's not a big deal. I just use it for address verification for new customers. If you really want to change it, contact me 599cd.com/CS

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: All major credit cards, Paypal, CashApp, Venmo, and more. A complete list is at 599cd.com/Payment

Q: How are courses delivered / accessed / viewed?

A: All online. Most can be downloaded. We no longer ship products.

Q: Do courses expire?

A: Generally no if purchased outright. If you get them from a monthly membership then you lose them once you cancel your membership. Details at 599cd.com/CoursesExpire

Q: How long does it take for me to receive my order?

A: Usually 5 minutes. See 599cd.com/HowLongOrder

Q: Can I share courses with friends?

A: You may share with immediate family living with you only (mom, dad, kids). Businesses must have a license for each employee. No exceptions. See 599cd.com/Sharing

Q: How long are each of your courses?

A: Each of my regular courses are at least one hour long. Many are much longer. My Seminars can be of varying lengths, depending on the topic. See 599cd.com/1225

Q: Where can I find what a particular course covers?

A: Course outlines are here: 599cd.com/courselist

Q: Do you provide custom database design, consulting, or one-on-one training?

A: No. I no longer offer these services. I will only accept a custom database projects if it has mass-appeal and I can turn it into a video lesson for sale on my site. I do, however, have associates who accept this kind of work. You can find out more here: 599cd.com/DevNet

Q: I forgot my password. How do I get it back or change it?

A: There is a link on the logon page to have it sent to them at 599cd.com/Logon

Q: How can I cancel my membership?

A: For TechHelp and Learning Connection memberships, there is a link on your My Account page at 599cd.com/MA. Look for the Manage link. For MYOLP memberships, contact customer service at 599cd.com/CS.

Q: Are My Courses Certified?

A: My courses are not certified by any other organization. My courses are offered for your personal enrichment only. I don't claim to get you ready for any certification testing. See 599cd.com/Certified

Q: Can I print out a certificate of completion?

A: Yep. See 599cd.com/Certificate

Q: Can I download your videos?

A: Most of my courses have a video ZIP file you can download, containing all the lessons in MP4 format for offline viewing. Simply go to the course page, scroll to the 'Resources' section, and find the ZIP file if available. If a ZIP file is not available for a particular course or seminar, you can download individual video files directly from the video player window by clicking on the video link, right-clicking once it begins playing, selecting 'Save Video As…', and downloading the file to your PC. Note that this method only works with videos hosted on my site, which includes all PAID videos; some free videos on YouTube cannot be downloaded this way.

Q: How do I find the extended cut videos?

A: All of the Extended Cut videos are on the same page as the regular TechHelp class. Scroll down until you see the Members section. If you're a member on YouTube you'll find a link to them in the description below the video.

Q: I'm signed up as a member on your website. Can I watch the extended cuts on YouTube?

A: No. If you signed up on my web site then you MUST watch on my web site. You CAN'T watch them on YouTube. If you signed up on YouTube then you can watch the Extended Cut videos on YouTube, but I can't offer you the 20% discount for an annual membership unless you sign up on my website. See 599cd.com/YVM
