I just wanted to remind everyone that if you ever have problems getting on to the web site, make sure you check my Twitter and Facebook pages for news. We had a little service outage today. We were offline for about an hour (and still haven't figured out what the problem is/was). I'm still running some tests, so if there are any outages or problems for the rest of today... sorry!

We've been having some random ISP and server issues over the past few months. We've been with the same ISP since we started 599CD back in 2002. And, we've had the same dedicated server (box) since then too. The site has been slowly but steadily growing over the past ten years, so I think it's time to start looking into a more robust hosting solution. A few years ago, I started moving pieces of the site to a different ISP. I currently have all of the "high bandwidth" videos and file downloads on a GoDaddy server. That has been working well.

I think the time is probably here to start moving the rest of the web site up there as well. I've been pretty happy with GoDaddy since I started that account about 2 years ago. We've only had one very brief service outage. So over the coming weeks, I'm going to be looking to move all of my web sites to a new server. This might cause some disruption... so I just wanted to let everyone know.
