UPDATE (4/23/14): The problem has been fixed, but some orders placed in the past 24 hours are not yet available on the server due to an update issue. We expect to have this problem fixed by the end of today. It's a DNS update issue, so we've done all we can - we're just waiting for the DNS servers to update on their own. If you placed an order within the past 24 hours, you won't see it until our server updates. Sorry for the wait. We had a little outage today. Sorry about that. Apparently GoDaddy changed our DNS server settings and didn't bother to let me know. A DNS server is basically the machine that keeps track of what names (like 599cd.com) belong to what IP addresses, which are the numeric equivalent of your Internet street address. So when you want to visit the site, you type "599cd.com" into your browser, and your browser visits a DNS server (Domain Name Server) and it tells you what the physical address you have to visit is, like 97.74.215.172. You don't need to know that address - you just need to remember the NAME. Well, GoDaddy changed us over to a different name server, and I didn't know about it... so the site was effectively offline because the DNS was pointing everyone to the wrong IP address. Ugh. In any case, it has been FIXED now, but the problem with DNS is that it can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to propagate through the entire Internet. So if you've visited the site in the last 24 hours or so, your browser may still point to the OLD IP address because DNS is cached on various servers between YOU and ME. In any case, I'm sorry for any delay you may experience in being able to log on or watch your lessons. And also in the future, BE SURE to check the Social Media Sites if 599CD.com is down. I will always post an update to Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, and a bunch of other places as soon as I know if something is wrong.
