I found a small bug in some of the handbooks. It's not a bug really, but a problem. When I packaged up the EXE install file for some of the handbooks, I forgot to rename some of the files. So a handbook that should be:
Excel 201 Handbook.PDF
was actually still named the way I used to name them back in the old days:
599CD-Excel 201 Handbook.PDF
This would cause the new Amicron Video Player not to find the handbook, even though it did install properly on your hard drive. So, you would see it there in the course list, but couldn't open it.
My bad.
I fixed the effected files, which are all Excel handbooks EXCEPT for 101 (the only one I did test) and the Visual Basic 101 handbook.
So, your options are you can either re-download and install the handbooks (fixed ones are already up there) or you can just open up My Computer or Windows Explorer and manually rename the files yourself.
They're located in the C:\Program Files\599CD\ folder, and all you have to do is remove the "599CD-" from the front of the PDF's filename. Easy to do...
Or you can just re-download them. :)
Thanks to everyone who helped point this out to me. A few customers complained that they couldn't view the Excel handbooks... so I downloaded and tested Excel 101. It worked fine for me.
Of course, XL101 was the ONLY one that was working. :)
