The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.

Farewell, Theater

I finally got around to moving ALL of the older courses and seminars OUT of the Classic Theater and into the new web course interface.

The Theater doesn't have a lot of the features that people have been requesting (like being able to full-screen a video or change the playback speed) but I knew it was going to be a daunting task to move everything over.

It took a couple of days, but I finally did it.

So say goodbye to the Theater. It's served us well over the past 15+ years. Yes, it's been that long. I don't have an exact date that I built it initially, but I started 599CD.com in 2002, and for the first couple of years I only shipped courses on CD. Then sometime around 2005 or 2006, I started offering courses online as more people were upgrading to high-speed Internet.

I'll still leave the Theater online for the foreseeable future as I know some of you have notes in there. Get 'em out now. Plus a lot of the older course outline pages still have links to it for the old classes, and I'm not going to change those anytime soon. But, all of the links from your My Courses page should direct you to the new course pages and not the Theater.

Oh, and I know that some of you have commented about the course titles showing up on the home page in the bottom right Other News section. Sorry about that. I didn't realize that was happening until one of the Moderators mentioned it to me... and it would be a lot of work to go back thru and mark all hundred or so pages to not show up there, so just ignore them for now. They'll disappear eventually as new stuff comes in.
