There will also be an Auto Bookmark kept every 60 seconds, or whenever you start or pause a video.

Watch the video for complete details. More features to come as I get the time.

Intro This page introduces the new bookmarks feature on my website, allowing you to automatically or manually mark your place in any video you are watching so you can easily return to the exact spot later. I will show you how the site saves your position every 60 seconds, when you pause, or switch videos, and how you can manage, view, and delete your saved bookmarks. You will also learn about the difference between auto and manual bookmarks and get a quick overview of planned updates to the feature.
Transcript Howdy folks, I just wanted to take a minute to tell you guys about a new feature that I finally built into the website by popular demand. And that's bookmarks. That's so you can mark a spot in any video that you're watching so that when you come back to the website, you can go right back to your bookmarks and find exactly where you were.

You might have seen features like this on Netflix and similar sites where, if you stop watching the movie in the middle and come back later, it keeps your spot. I finally built this in.

So if you're watching the video, let me go to the homepage here and let's say I'm watching Access Beginner 1. I'll come down here to the watch list. Let's say I'm watching lesson five. In lesson five, we are continuing.

Now, what happens is every 60 seconds, the website will track where you're at and save it as an auto bookmark. It will also save an auto bookmark anytime you pause the video or skip to another video. If I go to my auto bookmarks right now, see it says auto there. It should be saved right at the spot at 19 seconds into video five.

Let's go take a look at the bookmarks. Where's my bookmarks bar? It's up top here. Click on bookmarks, and you can see there's my auto bookmark: video five, 20 seconds in. It's 18 seconds old. That's what age will be here is, so you can see which ones are new and which ones are not.

I have some manual bookmarks that I made earlier. If I click on that, it will take me to hour one, Test Beginner Level 1A Beginner. You can make a manual bookmark by simply clicking on the bookmark link right there.

Let's go to a different course. Let's go to B2. I'm currently rerecording B2. Let's go to B2 lesson three. In lesson three, we are going to be continuing with Call It Now. Instead of manually changing the manual, you will click on them if you want to hold down the shift.

You can see there it is, right? Beginner 2 also has the auto bookmark. There they are. You can delete your bookmarks over here.

I'm going to add more features to this in the coming weeks. I'm going to make it so you can actually rename your bookmarks instead of just saying auto and manual. The auto bookmark will always say auto, but you can change this to say, for example, if you want to mark a favorite spot.

You can hold down the shift to click on multiple. If you have a favorite, like the look-up spot or something, you can mark that and save it in your bookmarks list.

That's bookmarks. Just wanted to give you a quick heads up. If you have any questions, comments, or thoughts, please feel free to post them in the forums.

Thanks, enjoy.

Summary Today I want to introduce a new feature on the website that many of you have requested: bookmarks. This tool lets you mark specific spots in any video you are watching, so when you return, you can easily pick up right where you left off.

This works much like the feature seen on platforms like Netflix, where videos remember your last watched position even if you stop midway. I have now integrated this capability into the site.

When you are watching a video, such as Access Beginner 1, the system will automatically create bookmarks for you. Every 60 seconds, your current place in the video is saved as an auto bookmark. The feature also saves your spot if you pause the video or skip to a different one. These automatic bookmarks ensure you never lose your progress. For example, if you stop watching lesson five at 19 seconds, that exact spot will be recorded as an auto bookmark.

You can find all of your bookmarks from the bookmarks bar located at the top of the page. Here, auto bookmarks are easy to spot, showing both the video title and the exact time you stopped at, along with the age of each bookmark so you know which ones are new.

In addition to auto bookmarks, you can set manual bookmarks whenever you like. This allows you to return to specific points in any video, such as a key lesson or favorite section, just by simply marking the spot yourself.

If you switch to a different course, for example, Beginner 2 lesson three, the bookmark system keeps working in the same way, automatically saving your place across different lessons and courses. You can also manage your bookmarks by deleting the ones you no longer need.

Over the next few weeks, I plan to enhance this feature even more. Soon, you will be able to rename your manual bookmarks, making it easier to identify important moments you've saved. The auto bookmarks will still say "auto," but for manual ones, you can give them custom titles to help you keep track of your favorite spots or critical sections in lessons. You can also select multiple bookmarks by holding down the shift key, making it simple to organize your collection.

That covers the new bookmarks feature. As always, if you have any questions or feedback, I encourage you to visit the forums and share your thoughts.

You can find a complete video tutorial with step-by-step instructions on everything discussed here on my website at the link below. Live long and prosper, my friends.
