This code will let Access speak to you

Code

Public Sub Speak(Msg As String, Optional Gender As String = "Female")
    
    Dim Vox As Object
    
    Set Vox = CreateObject("SAPI.SpVoice")
    Set Vox.Voice = Vox.GetVoices("Gender = " & Gender).Item(0)
    Vox.Speak Msg
    
End Sub


Usage

I like to put a text box on a form and then add a button that says:

Speak TextBoxName
