Database Support Policy By Richard Rost ![]() ![]() Technical Support for Templates and Other Databases I'd like to clarify the kind of support I provide for the database templates available on my website. If you encounter an issue with a database you've downloaded from my site, suspecting it might be a bug or something isn't working as it should, definitely bring it to my attention. If the problem can be replicated in the original version of the database on my website, I will certainly address and rectify it without any question. However, if you're facing issues with a version of the database that you've altered in any manner, I regret that I'm unable to provide direct support for that. You're welcome to post your questions about such modifications in the support forums, and if anyone is available to assist—whether it be me or one of the forum moderators—we'll strive to aid you as best we can. But please note that support for customized databases is not guaranteed. My support services cover only the databases as they are originally presented on my website. I provide support for all of my templates, seminars, or course databases—as long as they remain in the state they were when downloaded from my website. Any modifications made after download are the responsibility of the user, and troubleshooting issues in those cases falls outside of my support scope. Please keep in mind that some of the course databases have intentional errors that I correct in later classes. For example, there could be an issue in Access Expert Level 15 that I fix in Level 16. Before reaching out for support, ensure you check the notes under the relevant class page or in the comments section to confirm whether the issue you've encountered has already been addressed. The databases I use in the classes are designed for instructional purposes, and they're not meant to be used as production databases for your business. As such, I can't offer support if you're trying to use them in that manner. The databases from my TechHelp series don't come with support. These videos and accompanying databases are intended to highlight specific aspects of database management, and I don't stress test or explore all potential outcomes within these databases. If you download one and it's not functioning as you'd like, you're more than welcome to notify me about it. While I might consider addressing the issue in a future video, I can't guarantee any kind of support for these TechHelp databases. They're intended strictly for educational purposes. In all cases, it's best to post your questions or concerns in the appropriate forum before contacting me directly. My moderators and other advanced students are awesome. They usually can answer questions much quicker than I can. Also, be sure to try my Database Troubleshooter if you're experiencing any problems with your database. Thanks for understanding.
