Well, we were down this morning for a couple of hours. My server alarm went off around 7am. Then I find a few texts from Sami saying the site is down. Thanks, BTW, Sami.
I use Uptime Robot* which has a really nice app. I have the alarm set to a volume that won't wake me up, but if I'm "kinda up" then I'll hear it. 99% of the time if the site is down, there's nothing I can do anyways except email WinHost. Which I did.
I love WinHost*. They actually answer emails pretty fast and don't make you call on the phone. I hate talking on the phone. I was chatting with a tech within 10 minutes. They had to escalate it to their senior guys. In the end, a simple reboot of the server fixed the problem. So... no clue what went wrong.
In any case, we're back up. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Uptime Robot gives you a whole page of stats like this one... still getting 99.987% uptime from WinHost, so I'm happy. Only down for about an hour total over the past year. A whole lot better than any other ISP I've been with. And most of that was from this morning's incident!
