I went to a competitor on YouTube to get some help with VBA in Word. I always appreciate your TechHelp videos and the thought and planning that you put into them for all of your customers and after watching the other guy's video I have come to appreciate yours all the more. Aside from him not having an outline of what he wanted to do in the video, he also had no fake data for the UserForm. Pair that with the literal 5 minutes of dead silence while he thought about what he was doing along with his deep breaths he took with the microphone seemingly in his mouth the whole time and it was all I could do to make it to the half-way point in the video.
Yeah, there's a lot of people out there that have a lot of good content but no presentation skills, and there's also the opposite of that too. There's people with a lot of flash and pizzazz, but it's all smoke and mirrors and no content. So I try to walk that fine line between the two. I don't have super high production quality, but I do try to keep it interesting and informative.
But yeah, I find it hard to watch other people's tutorials even though there's a lot of good content out there. Some of them are just so boring. So what I do is I just grab the transcript and have Chat GPT summarize it for me. I'm going to put together a video on how I do this because I do it quite often, and I know there are custom sites out there that will do that for you where you can just give it a YouTube video URL and it'll just give you a summary. But I think it's just as easy to do with Chat GPT.
