I am still having the same issue with rich and plain text content controls in my document. I created a test document with one rich text and one plain text content control and tested them using the same VBA code I have in the offending document and both controls in the test document work as they should allowing for multiple lines of text. I then copied a plain text content control from the offending document and pasted the VBA code into the UserForm. Now when I test it, the document freezes, and a whole list of actions have to be taken just to get Word to allow use again. I will try to attach the test document here.

Forgot momentarily that documents can't be uploaded here. If you would like to see the test document I'd be happy to provide it.

I finally.... FINALLY figured out what was wrong... Apparently plain text content controls can't, or won't accept multiple lines of text if they are on line in your document AFTER standard text. They have to start their own line in order to function properly. Not sure why it is that way but I got it to work and that's all that matters.
You can't upload documents, but screen shots always help. Glad you figured it out. I have to be honest, I haven't used Userforms in Word or Excel in probably 10 years. That's what Access is for. LOL.
