One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn't exist. Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist.
I took some time today to update my YouTube channel. The header image and profile logo were about 10 years old, so they needed a refresh. I also updated the welcome video and the membership video that explains the perks of joining.
The old welcome video was from 2013. In that video, I mentioned having 20,000 subscribers. Now I have over 240,000. I also said I had 5 million views, but now it is over 47 million. It was definitely outdated.
The old membership video was from when I first started offering memberships back in 2020. I also had to update that video because I will no longer be mentioning sponsors by name in my videos.
Sponsors will still be listed on the website on the Access Developer Network page, but I believe my views have been dropping because of YouTube's policies on paid promotions. When a video is marked as containing promotional material, including sponsorships, I think YouTube ranks it lower. My views have declined since I started marking them, so Diamond Sponsors will now only be listed on my website. I also have a new Premier Sponsor coming later this month, and I will share more details soon.
If you are curious, check out the updates. I was on another site today and clicked a link they had to my channel page. I do not visit my own channel homepage often, but when I saw the intro video, I realized how outdated it was. So I spent a few hours today refreshing everything.
Let me know what you think.
