I put in a solid work week, and today I'm going to take it easy and jump in the pool with my dogs. Life's too short to work all the time. Even if you love what you do - and I do - you need balance.
I could sit behind my computer all day, every day making videos and playing around with Access, but sometimes you have to step away.
Same thing with your diet. You can't just eat whatever you want, but you also can't live on kale and quinoa. Even the healthy stuff gets old if you never change it up. I love sushi, but if I had it every day it would stop being special.
It's the same lesson in working out. Push hard every day and you'll fry your body. You need rest days.
You have to get away from the screen sometimes. Balance isn't just a nice idea - it's the only way to keep anything sustainable, whether it's work, food, fitness, or life itself.
