here may be babblers, wholly ignorant of mathematics, who dare to condemn my hypothesis, upon the authority of some part of the Bible twisted to suit their purpose. I value them not, and scorn their unfounded judgment.

Avoid Sudden Movements

Captain's Log, supplemental:

The situation involving the Klingons and the Tribbles has reached a critical phase. The Klingon Chancellor has requested my personal presence to "discuss" the matter further. He is staring intensely, gripping his bat'leth, and using the word honor far more than is comfortable.

The Tribble ambassador remains unconcerned and continues to purr. Loudly.

I am attempting to maintain calm, de-escalate tensions, and avoid sudden movements.

What should I do next?

A) Attempt calm, rational diplomacy and appeal to Klingon honor.
B) Compliment the Chancellor's bravery and slowly back toward the nearest exit.
C) Run. Very fast.

Cast your vote. If I survive, I will respond once a decision is made.

I think you should go with option D.  Put several Tribbles in your pockets, pick up your bat'leth, and advance toward the Klingon Chancellor.  Given the Klingon's natural aversion to Tribbles, this should give you the opening you need to strike down the Chancellor and take over the Klingon Empire.  Long Live Chancellor Rost of the "Cling On" Empire!  LLAP!

C) And cast tribbles behind you to slow his pursuit. Maybe he'll slip on one (are tribbles like banana peels?).

Note: I am back from our holiday voyage. I was given a sweater for Christmas, but it was full of static electricity. I returned it back to the store and they gave me a new one, free of charge.

Dang, I was making my way the TOS on Netflix, and they retired it yesterday in my region. I can't believe I only remembered a few of them from way-back-when. Despite Shatner's interviews claiming the contrary: Kirk...does...talk...like...this.

VPN, sir. VPN.

And.... yes... he.............................. does.

Jim Carrey did the best Kirk impression on In Living Color. Also Seth MacPharlane. He's hilarious too.

Jim Carrey was still wet behind the ears (about 6 years younger) when we were both at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles performing. The first night I saw him do a set, I was like, "Dang, I better stick with the day job." He plopped his arm behind his back (looking like it was dislocated) and then did Sammy Davis. We "veterans" just looked at each other and threw up our arms. We're done.
