Following yesterday's vote, I formally accepted the Klingon Chancellor's challenge to an honor duel.
As the Chancellor charged forward, roaring and swinging his bat'leth with great enthusiasm, I immediately yielded, dropped to one knee, and declared that his honor was unquestionable and clearly superior.
This did not go as expected.
The chamber fell completely silent. Klingons began arguing whether yielding instantly was cowardice or the ultimate acknowledgment of honor. Several elders cited ancient precedent. Someone started chanting. Someone else started singing. I believe a bloodline was invoked. Possibly two.
The Chancellor eventually declared the matter "unresolved but... troubling," which appears to be the Klingon equivalent of a draw.
The Tribble ambassador applauded by multiplying.
Negotiations are technically paused while ceremonial songs continue and everyone pretends to understand what just happened. Somehow casks of Blood Wine were opened and now the Klingons are drinking and singing.
What should I do next?
A) Allow the Klingons to finish the ceremony, endure the singing, and hope no one asks me to join in. B) Attempt a formal apology in Klingon and risk accidentally challenging someone's entire bloodline. C) Quietly back away while everyone is distracted by Blood Wine, chanting, and the growing pile of Tribbles.
Cast your vote. Further updates will follow once the chorus reaches a conclusion or someone throws a Tribble.
