Superb Owl Anyone?

All right, so who's watching the big game today? The wife and I will have it on. I'm mostly there for the commercials. I'm not a huge football fan. I do enjoy going to a game in person... unless it's in Buffalo in the winter. I've done that several times and I can confidently say I have no interest in repeating that life choice. Why they didn't put a dome on the new stadium is beyond me, but I digress.

Aside from folks in the actual team cities, or the broader regional fan bases like New England used to pull, does anybody else really care who wins? I'm not counting people with money on it. That's a different level of emotional investment. Like I said, I'm just hoping for a good, close game. Blowouts are boring no matter who's winning.

One of these years I'd love to see a Bills-Eagles Super Bowl since I'm originally from Buffalo and my wife's from Philly. Of course, the universe refuses to cooperate. And honestly, in that matchup I'd probably be rooting for Philly. I retired from Bills fandom after they lost their fourth straight Super Bowl in the 90s. There's only so much character building a person needs.

What say you? Curious as to how many of my students are fans. As mama says, "foozball is THE DEVIL!"

Yes. I am planning to watch it.

No.  I used to watch a "lot" of NFL football a week during each season (Monday Night, Thursday Night, 2 games on Sunday).  But I haven't watched any NFL football since 2016.

Spoiler.... I'm from Washington so I support the birds. Since we are quoting wrestlers... I'll paraphrase Hulk Hogan "So what ya gonna do, whatcha gonna do when the college navy, action green, and wolf green run wild on youuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!"
