Out of Office Til Tuesday

I'm going to be out of the office 'Til Tuesday. Yes, that's right, I'm actually taking a full weekend off plus Monday. Try not to alert Starfleet, they might revoke my captain's chair.

My sister-in-law just had a baby, so we're heading out to see the new little human, spend time with family, and do all that fun stuff that doesn't involve Microsoft Access for a change.

LLAP
RR

P.S. Fun trivia: 'Til Tuesday is actually the name of a band fronted by Aimee Mann, who also sang the female vocals on "Time Stand Still" by Rush. So yes, this entire out-of-office message is secretly a prog rock Easter egg disguised as productivity.

And now you know something completely unnecessary but undeniably cool. You're welcome.

Another fun fact that I just learned while looking up the band Til Tuesday... They once had a keyboard player named Joey Pesce.

I wonder if he knows where to find Two Yutes.

Wasn't Joe Pesci in the Lethal Weapon movies?
(Yes, I know, very bad joke. LOL)

Kevin Nah, I think that guy was too busy preparing to get his but kicked by some punk kid that was Home Alone a couple years later ;)

Sadly some Ferengi has intercepted the transmission and are now sending Quark to Earth to "Borrow" (we don't say steal or take... we borrow) the chair and sell it on Ebay.

On the Dropping Names podcast Frakes and Spiner said that the captain's chair was the most stolen item on the set. It was specially made to fit Stewart's back, so it was not a cheap replacement.

In a similar vein, they told a story about how several uniforms were stolen and an FBI sting operation caught the thieves in the desert trying to trade the costumes for a stolen KITT (the Knight Rider car for you youngfolk).

I was just going to mention Dropping Names and Things with Brent and Jonny - the one with Felicia Day. Missing chair (frequently removed) and the trading of uniforms for KITT. FBI was brought in and saved the day.  Be happy your fans aren't so obsessed that they steal the chair.....

Jeffrey I haven't watched that one yet. I think the last one I watched was the one with LaVar, but I'm watching them out of order, so I know that was the first one. I've seen a couple of other ones.
