Microsoft has announced a major redesign of Copilot built around three capabilities: Home, Code, and Autopilot. Home combines Chat and Cowork in one starting point and adds Office in Copilot, where users can create or update real Word documents, Excel workbooks, and PowerPoint presentations while keeping changes synchronized with the desktop and web apps.

Code uses natural-language instructions to build small apps, trackers, dashboards, automations, and workflows in a sandboxed Microsoft 365 environment. Autopilot is a persistent cloud-hosted agent that can monitor work, follow up on threads, and continue recurring assignments without waiting for another prompt.

Home and Code will begin rolling out through Microsoft’s Frontier program in the coming weeks, while Autopilot is scheduled to expand to private preview at the end of September. Microsoft describes the rollout and availability details in its official announcement.
