OpenAI announced GPT-6.1 Terra on October 26, with a rollout to ChatGPT Work and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans. OpenAI lists visual reasoning, computer use and writing among its supported tasks.
This is a model option for Work and Codex, not regular ChatGPT conversations. Work handles multi-step projects and deliverables, while Codex focuses on software development. Availability depends on the account, region and workspace settings.
Select GPT-6.1 Terra from the model list when it appears. Some Plus and Pro users may also find Terra at Medium replacing GPT-6.1 Sol at Light in Work's default Power presets. Overall plan usage limits are unchanged; that does not mean every model uses the allowance at the same rate.
