Video Server Update

Seems like they fixed the problem on their end. It was a DNS issue which means if you can't still see their server, you have to wait for YOUR DNS to update. I know. It's a pain. I can watch my videos on my cell phone, but I can't watch them on my laptop yet because my office Internet DNS still hasn't updated. Give it a little time, it should come back online for you. Or, log on with your phone (and NOT on the same WiFi as your home/office).

The latest from Wasabi's status page: December 29, 2020 04:07 UTC: We are currently awaiting the restoral of the wasabisys.com domain by our third-party domain name provider.  We do not have a restoral ETA at this point because we are dependent on the third-party domain name provider to take actions.

Latest update: December 29, 2020 12:40 UTC We continue to rely on the restoration of the wasabisys.com domain from our registrar. No ETA has been provided yet, but well continue to update the status page every 2 hours or at any point where new updates are warranted.

Basically they're saying that they've fixed the problem, but they're still waiting on their domain registrar (the people who handle domain changes) to update everything. I already emailed them and Tweeted at them:

@wasabi_cloud this is RIDICULOUS guys. You've been down over 14 hours at this point. If you're not back online soon I'm switching back to AWS. Never had any issues with them.

If they're not back up by the end of today, I'm switching everything back to AWS where I was for YEARS without a problem. It's a lot more expensive, but at least it works. The problem is I have to re-upload EVERYTHING I've created in the past 6 months or so. We're talking many Gigabytes of data which will take a while. Yes, I have everything backed up, of course, but it's the upload time I'm dreading.
