I used to be able to print envelopes quite easily from my Microsoft Word. Now, however, there is NO Tool tab at the top of my opened Word document, just 'Home,' 'Insert,' 'Page Layout,' etc. I've scrolled over just about every little icon on those tabs and cannot find a 'make label and envelope' feature.
Why is 2007 Word so much harder than earlier versions? Plus, it often won't open for people when I send them that version. I've had to revert to the old form, but I still have the less helpful headings and tabs. Answer from Richard Rost:
Sue, I would recomment that you invest in a Word 2007 tutorial.
The Envelopes and Labels feature can now be found under the MAILINGS tab on your Ribbon - all the way to the left in the Create section.
If you want to send Word documents to people using older versions of Word, you need to save them DOWN in that older version. Click on Office Button > Save As > Word 97 to 2003 Document.
The new menu interface does take some getting used to - and there will be a little bit of a learning curve. I didn't like it at first either, but once I got used to it, I really liked it.
