Question on the Email Seminar
Jerry Fowler

I have been following the email seminar and have been successful up till lesson 10.  I have both an Outlook email and a Gmail email address.  I entered the bare minimum to send a SMTP email and when using both port 465 or 587 I received errors.  I can upload jpg of the errors, but basically its with 465 cannot connect to server with the sending address and with port 587 it gives me the it needs to STARTTLS.  I'm wondering if this is caused due to the recent change to 2 step verification?  Not sure how to upload jpgs to this forum.  Thanks

Jerry please don't post the same question in multiple places. It's to hard to manage answers.
Richard answered HERE

Take a look at Gmail's help on signing in with 2-Factor turned on.  You will have to create a App Password or allow Less Secure Apps

Sign in with App Passwords

Sorry about posting twice but I never found them after posting and never received a email saying they were accepted. I'll watch that in the future.

Again my apologies

It's been a bit since I was able to report any advancement on this and it was totally my fault.  The issue causing all my troubles was I needed to turn on "Access for less secure apps" on my Goggle account.  once I did that following along the seminar worked flawlessly.  It was quite a learning experience and a learning experience on google and Microsoft searches....lol

Thanks again this is a great group

I could have sworn I mentioned that in one of the videos.
