On each TechHelp page where there is a download available, you'll see it down in the Members section. For example on the DLookup page, you'll see it under Members titled "Gold Member Template Download."

The extended is usually based on the same concept but is done usually with more features and using VBA (the better way). It's not like "bonus footage" from the free version, it's an entirely other video about the subject with more advanced/better solutions.

So yes, you would normally watch the free version and then the extended cut afterwards.
